Yeah. This will require some lateral thinking. Like you, BLS, it was also my first thought. However, I'm going to suggest a right-hander, somewhat dependent on what immediately follows it: –The Shanghai Snail !
I think that may require the intervention of a Mod. Either that or I can't see the appropriate button on the page. I have a freling that there was going to be several threads for each track section.
Well, it was Westy's idea so something like Fantasy Circuit, Boogaloo might be appropriate? Maybe we could somehow invent a Boogaloo Grand Prix too? (elsewhere with its own thread). If so, Genji would surely be best to generate a workable concept, somehow tied in with the events of real action during a season. P.S. Thanks for prompt action on this thread!
I'm not really one for naming things after myself. Perhaps its name could be an amalgamation of all the circuits who's corners it encapsulates? Or we could hold suggestions for a name then hold a poll?
Nope. Too long-winded. We need action now, rather than some potentially convoluted, overly democratic process about a process. Therefore, in the absence of workable alternatives, I put my nomination to the floor that it and this motion be carried forthwith! All those in favour, raise your right hand or remain quiet. All those not in favour, shout up with a workable alternative within 24 hours of this notice, or forever hold your piece!- - -o0o- - - P.S. Westy: You have a law in your name. Now you understand cosilaw.
I like downhill turn 1's, nothing like starting the lap with some differcult breaking and a car thats fighting to run away from the apex.
Good point. That brings forward a thought I had earlier: perhaps sections of a circuit –such as Brazil's brilliant Turn 1, or indeed, the Snail– might be included at any point on our fantasy circuit!?
These are the best T1's IMO: Melbourne, China, Silverstone (Copse and Abbey), Suzuka, USA looks good, Brazil But I have to give it to Suzuka.
I don't like T1s that funnel everyone into single file in straight away. I always like to see the action from the start go on for a bit where everyone's bunched up. Which is why I think if you could make a pit straight a little bit after Juncao in Sao Paulo (obviously physically impossible) the action would be great to watch.
