We've not said that since the 80's plums & in case you can't add up, 60 league games covers this season , the whole of the last one & 9 of the one prior ......
I'm only playing with you. Everton are a hard team to beat no doubting that, you just need to turn those draws into wins and you'll be challenging top 4. Now you have a forward who is in form and consistent then you have a real chance. Can't see you getting top 4 this year (or us) which means you probably won't be able to keep hold of Lukaku which means you'll have to do it all over again and find a 20 goal striker in the summer.
Don't mate. It'll only depress you, as the realisation that we've been consistently better than you will **** your head up
I hope BR can dish out good bollockings after today Wed we need to see a change from that **** attitude While you may have been consistent we have still managed some silverware btw How do you think you'll get on V Mancs on Wed?
It's not as simplistic as that mate. We're developing by the week under Martinez & yesterday we were simply sublime at times - with Barkley & Mirallas sat on the bench..... The derby was the first for years were we played the better football & dominated possession
Not denying you're playing good football, but what happens when you finish the season and lose Lukaku? Jelavic seems like was a half season wonder, Kone isn't good enough. Lukaku has been the perfect CF, scoring goals but also linking up play. Martinez will need to go and find one, something he may very well do, but if he doesn't you could struggle for goals next year, just when youre in a position to push on.
Today was just a bad day for you lot rather than a symptom of something more sinister Sturridge is a massive player for you though & the last 2 games should make you realise that without him you're nowhere near the same side As for us - Weds is a huge game, if we can get a result there then we're truly in business - a defeat & we'll fall back into the pack
It's not just Sturridge. We missed Coutinho today as well. It's no surprise that the team that started was a very similar team we had before we brought them both in Jan from an attacking sense. Obviously we had Moses but offered nothing more than Downing did. Our form picked up massively from Jan onwards when those two were brought and without them it was like we had gone back to the start of last season where we lacked any creativity if Suarez was having an off day.
We massively lacked ideas up front and Coutinho and Studge being missing showed we lack depth. Sterling just isn't ready yet (remember he's only 18 despite being around the first time for two years now) and I'm far from convinced by Moses. We have three players up front today where one wanted to drop short and do things his self (because he knows the quality alongside him) and two others that either want to run with or onto the ball. The Hull defenders only had to mark Luis and we were ****ed!
Wonder why he doesn't really give LA a chance. He looks the type to want to feed suarez and to make him better which would have done us well today.
