It appears to have worked! If you're in the Europa group stages in can completely **** your season up, just look at Newcastle last year and Swansea this year.

I was saying on our board that my preference would be Everton to qualify for 4th place due to them being the underdogs in the current race for 4th but if they don't (looks like they probably won't now) I wouldn't mind Liverpool being back in the CL. Liverpool vs Chelsea on Champions League nights are always a classic and it'd be great to have that back again... on the premise of no ghost goals

Yes we had great ties in the CL, Rafa and Jose didnt like each other but think BR and Jose are quite pally but would still be great fixtures. You have the fans obv going at each other, in fact you're the only decent Chelsea fan i've come across on this site

If that were to happen a novice manager and a weak squad would show you up for what you are.......**** all without an open chequebook.

There is obviously an advantage in not playing in Europe this season but high caliber players won't sign for us because of it so it then becomes a disadvantage, a couple of seasons back we played in an EL game in Russia on the Thursday, a prem game on the Sunday and then a League Cup semi-final on the Tuesday which Swansea won, three games in 5 days to Swansea's 1 was an obvious advantage to them, but Rodgers didn't cry to the press he just got on with it.

Chelsea have a big advantage over Spurs this season, Spurs have had to travel further in the EL than Chelsea in the CL.

All miss Portugal is doing is deflecting any **** that will be flung in his direction early and belittling LFC on the way.
