End of the day it's all about Government guidelines re sentencing, so when the Judge sentenced Johnson also had to consider Was there an early guilty plea? Did the he abuse a position of trust? How serious was the intended sexual act after the grooming? and so on, you cannot look at one case and and compare with another just by the sentence given.

A car that she had willingly underhanded visited twice, whilst lying and decieving everyone?

A car she was happy to visit a third third time, but after getting stood up?

Everyone with kids, if it was their own would be emotionally distracted from certain facts and would want his nuts on a skewer, me included.

The first two sentences are completely irrelevant to the law, the third one, you're right it would be different if it was your own kids, I just look at every case that way.

That's the thing I keep hearing, like 15 is almost allowed so let's give him some concession. NO.

Who here would feel better about their (just turned) 15 year old girl being touched up by a 27 year old, than they would if she was 13? Seriously? Would you just go... "Well you should know what you're doing love, you're 15"... no you ****ing wouldn't.

The only answer I've seen is "My daughter would never do that"... easy ****ing get out.

Every time a ***** gets sentenced this thread and others are being dragged up to compare AJ's sentence yet nobody is saying in text that they feel AJ's sentence is harsh... **** him, who cares if he got 6 years for a quick fiddle with an almost legal girl in his car? I couldn't give a **** if he got 600 years, or shot in the face with acid, he deserves what he got.

If it was my daughter at 15 and she'd willingly gone along with it she'd be getting bollocked by me. She didn;t object to any of it - Most of the kids I know of 14/15 are sexually active nowadays. My friend's daughter was sleeping with her boyfriend (who was 15 - almost 16) when she was 14. They're now 18 and 20 and still together. Even at 14 they know what's going on - It doesn;t make it right and I wouldn;t be happy with the older person if it was my daughter. My wife wasn't a virgin at 16 and her boyfriend was nearly 19 - she wasn't long past 15 either!

Relatively, I think AJ's sentence is harsh - but more in a way that the others are far too lenient rather than anything else. They should be getting more rather than him getting less - but he's been more harshly treated by the justice system because he's a footballer.

Completely understand all of that mate, the kids won't change, but the law is there to protect them. I'm sure plenty of others would be crying for a longer sentence if the offender was convicted previously as a ***** and was aged 47 and not 27... the law protects the kids all the same, it has to.

The second part, maybe I'd agree in a way, it's harsh by comparison but I still think on it's individual merits he got what he deserved. Let's be perfectly honest with ourselves, he's not in some Brit nick in the 60's or 70's is he? He's probably already coaching a football team and has Xbox and an en-suite bathroom in his cell. He's in Center Parks without the women, that's all, and the sooner people accept that he's not being violently punished, the term is far easier to swallow.

You'll just get new threads every time another ***** gets convicted and their sentence isn't death by anal stretching with elephants feet.

For some reason, comparing seems to make a difference.
