I can understand exactly what you`re saying.

Bear in mind though the subject matter and the dross waiting in the wings. Also the fact that the pond life find this hugely entertaining.

I wouldn`t give them the satisfaction mate, I really wouldn`t let the flotsam win.

Whatever pops. Morning wasted, couldn't give a **** about the wums, everyone makes them look stupid anyway. I Hit the report button to give you lads the heads up it's going to kick off as there was no Mod presence and to complain about 1 post about the dead Newcastle lads which was way too far. Certainly no enough to delete an entire thread. What else was so bad that an entire thread needed to go?

The GC lads have been more active recently and going by recent trend they would have swamped your thread even more. Minxy was doing her best, it will never be good enough for some. Yes i get it your content was ruined but we don't set out to piss you guys off purposely.

Nice try. The thread was locked <doh> GC couldn't have swamped the thread even more because they couldn't post on it. I still had access to what I'd posted and people could still follow the days proceedings.

    FFS Bri

We had 6 reports from your own supports about that thread & it was getting totally out of control & you were one of the complaints

Big Funk Allardyce Today at 1:47 PM
Making a mockery of the case. Best bare in mind lads that RTG have banned threads relating because of possible legal implications. It's for reasons like this. Don't envy you having to Mod today like lads. <laugh>
I closed it so I could read / sort bans etc out
.... it is still there if your mods want to go through & delete anything that needs to go they can & they can re-open it if they want to
    .... that really isn't a super-mods job
but I certainly won't be apologising for helping your mods out today

From reading other sites to see what actually went on in court - which was the point of what Bri was trying to do - it seems that Johnson has been caught bang to rights, so his brief's strategy is to say that he led the girl on, snogged her, but then stopped and didn't shag her. The aim is obvious, to avoid being sent down or at least to get a short custodial sentence. I doubt the jury will agree, but hey, with a top brief stranger things have happened.

Its in the daily fail that they did not know he was going to plead guilty:
Sportsmail understands that neither Sunderland nor manager Allardyce were aware that he was about to plead guilty. We also understand he will no longer be available for selection with senior staff conscious of the backlash if he does appear.
Sunderland were shocked when Adam Johnson pleaded guilty to grooming and sexual activity with a child and have been forced to backtrack on their intention to play him against Manchester United on Saturday.

Mmmm. Interesting. It is the Fail after all. However various sites mention him having a conference with his brief at the start of the hearing. His brief may well have told him he was ****ed and had to admit something or go down for a long, long time. Perhaps HE didn't know he was going to plead guilty before he got to court!

(BTW, what I've written in conjecture, unlike various visitors to the board today I don't presume to know what went on in the case, and I won't tell anyone they should be ashamed of themselves for not accepting unproven speculation).

What a sad sad mess. Adam has not just done an awful thing to a now probably damaged girl/family but he has lied about it and dragged our club and most heart achingly our fans into a terrible low point.

With his final last gasp twist of the knife to plead guilty at the last minute he has lied to everyone and damaged the trust and enjoyment of football. And before all other fans come in here playing the high morale cards their club and fans would of played the same innocent till guilty hand we had been dealt and remind them that yes it was a Sunderland player but this has tainted all of football and like most fans we have sisters, daughters and nieces, so by all means have your jokes about this situation but don't for one second think we condone this disgusting behaviour.

Adam now needs to be sentenced appropriately and after the end of the trail Sunderland will surely tear up his contract. I also hope we can actually take his to court to lying to us and get at least the wages back from the last year since he lied about this.

It wouldn't surprise me that this extra kicking to the club helps send us to relegation by the fact that the moral must be hitting a low point and this must leave a bad taste in the dressing room.
