The trial of Adam Johnson (part 2)

She said he was shaved, other have confirmed he wasn't. CP lost any chance of nailing a guilty verdict there. I myself find it hard to believe that if she was tossing off a footballer she's obsessed over she wouldn't take in the details of how he groomed down there.

I don't believe it happened either, not on the evidence. I was hoping he'd get done with it though as the sentence for the others will be **** and I want the **** to get serious time.

 

That's what we all thought until today, but one of the charges mentioned today in court, is to do with penetration. No way that happened. That's what she's alleged though...

At the time, the press weren't allowed to publish any details of that.

 

Apparently he's said 'she must have guessed' that it was shaved, so I don't know if the court have been shown a picture of his bald molerat or something.

I think I'm the only one here, who thinks the defense and prosecution cases are equally ****ing awful, by default he'll probably get off the two other charges and end up with some pathetic punishment for the first two.

In a way, I think I'd prefer he doesn't go to prison I think he'd be much safer behind bars than he would be turning up in public places acting the big shot as usual.

He'll probably be on the next series of celebrity big brother.

 

I reckon it's because there's no case with AJ pleading guilty to the first two. AJ's pleas were in as not guilty on all charges. The prosecution will have used exposing him on texts and kissing to say what else is he lying about. The Defence took that away last minute and left her with nowt and them needing nowt. Crafty defence. They knew they were going to shoot a tranquilizer dart in the case last minute. They probably knew they were going to that the whole time.

 

No doubt with that sack of ****, that's always there by his side that looks like a taller version of John Carver minus the whippets..

That's amateur though, the evidence from the pros is available to the defense, any barrister out of school should have predicted he'd change his plea prior to the trial, based on their evidence. I find it hard to believe that Kate Blackwell (that's the pros right?) would expect the best barrister in the business to dissect the evidence and still run with a not-guilty plea.

Like I said mate, both cases look terrible and that only results in one out come for me.

I think many of us want him to go down and do serious time, but he's no Ian Watkins, he'll be dragged from pillar to post in his shakedown by the judge and made an example of because he's a supposed role model, but the sentence will be weak I think.

The defence has said that if Johnson left the meeting with the girl at 6.08pm when the prosecution allege he would have missed the team bus at 6.30pm.

He said: “If he missed the bus, he would have been in deep water, he would have been unable to play the defendant has said.”

Timing is a “significant problem for the Crown and one they cannot escape”.

“Life is full of inconsistent conduct,” defence barrister Orlando Pownall QC has said in reference to Johnson simultaneously messaging his girlfriend and the teenager.

“In the real world a man or a woman may love their partner and want to be with them, but will want to be with someone else, it is not inconceivable that someone will have feelings for other people.”

“Adam Johnson has admitted that he had lied and he was worried,” Mr Pownall went on to say.

“Of course he knew that she was 15, he has told a lie in the heat of the moment in the minutes after his arrest in front of his girlfriend,” Mr Pownall said.

Johnson claimed “she said she was 16,” to his girlfriend as he was arrested at their Castle Eden home on March 2 2015.

Mr Pownall told the court that Johnson and Stacey Flounders’ relationship was “up in the air” and that his revelations about the teenage girl were blurted out to the mother of his child in a “haze” along with confessions he had had full intercourse with a number of other women.

Mr Pownall told the jury Johnson deserved “clear and dispassionate consideration by you of all the evidence”.

He added: “If you apply that test you cannot but conclude that what he did is not beyond what he has admitted to.”

With that, Mr Pownall finished his closing statement.

The jury has been sent home for the weekend and will be back on Monday from 10am to hear Judge Jonathan Rose summing up the case.

They will then start their deliberations.

 

Mr Johnson you will be hanged by the neck until dead and then you will be drawn and quartered put through a cheese grater and threw off Sunderland bridge for the codling to eat and then you will be free to resume your career.
