I defend the club. Innocent until proven guilty. Let's say you were wrongly accused of something and it took 6 months to go to trial. You are not going to be paid until after the trial?

Just because he's found guilty (admitted it) doesn't change my opinion that he's presumed innocent until proven otherwise. The bloke's a prick. I'm gutted we've lost a quality player. Wouldn't you be regardless of the circumstances?

 

The important thing is what they do now. He's admitted two of the offences. Classic gross misconduct under employment law. Are they waiting to see if he is found guilty of having sex with the girl as well? He should be sacked. That isn't me saying that as a Newcastle fan either. I would say the same if it was one of our players. The guy is a prick, a soon to be convicted sex offender and needs to be sacked and locked up to wipe that smarmy grin off his face and protect others.

It might be that the Club have been legally advised to shut up until the case is over. Remember he's admitted two of the charges, but is denying two others. There'll still be a trial. I might be talking ****e - it wouldn't be the first time! - but maybe the legal procedure is to wait till the end of the trial before sacking him. Any lawyers out there confirm?

Have to say I'm annoyed that he's admitted to this now. February 10th. If he was planning on that he could've had some respect fir the people he's (pardon the pun) ****ed over. He should've admitted it early on and moved aside. Let the club sort itself out without him instead of trawling it out until it's too late for the club to do anything.

Not really read much of what's gone on although I know he has admitted guilt for something. Maybe he has admitted the sexual charge before he knew her age and the other 2 were supposed to have happened after he knew her age. He may have met her in a nightclub Shagged her then a couple of weeks later seen her on a school trip at the academy realised he had ****ed up and never done it again. Until it all comes out in the wash I won't pass judgement.

If it turns out he knew she was underage and still went through with it then he is a nonce pure and simple and will never have anything else to do with our club.
