I saw him a couple of years ago in what I think was his first or second appearance for Town and he looked pretty awful and nowhere near ready for first team football, he must've come a long way since then.

There must be more to this recall either he's got another loan move until the end of the Season in this league or we're looking to sell a couple of our strikers

I think it’s simply a case of looking at our options and realising we have a player here that we would probably be signing if he wasn’t already ours so it’s a no brainer to get him back to help with the play off push. I doubt anyone else’s future will have come into the decision. If McKenna sees potential in those other forwards they will stay and if he doesn’t then they’ll be moved on. I don’t think Norwood or Bonne’s futures in the first XI are safe either.

I wonder what is happening with Ben Morris. He showed mountains of potential before the injuries.

I agree re Norwood, Hampy, when he came on tother day, he just raged around like a bull, threatening face to face, and I dont recall one proper pass, collect or shot. However, on his day, he is a flipping nuisance and scores goals!

TBH, I cant remember seeing him play, but the Robins have been playing well, scoring lots, and so has he. If Kieran sees potential in the lad,I respect that. He has managed to bring on and encourage several players to really perform at their best. Thats the real professional coach he is. And I think we will need more forward cover, going forwards, sorry!

I think it’s right that KM assesses all the players we have available before bringing in new guys.Even if that means we remain a work in progress for the rest of this Season and give it a concerted push next.

McKenna has said he had nothing to do with the decision to recall Simpson, it was a "club" decision due to contract issues

Wow if he’s been pulled away from Swindon and they’ve no intention of playing him I’m not sure I like that.

I don't get why we'd do that either. If we're looking to sell him for a decent fee this month, due to his good form at Swindon, then that makes sense. If we're recalling him to be part of the first team picture, due to one or two first team strikers being sold this window, then that also makes sense. But if we've just called him back only to stick him in the reserves - or put him on the bench for the odd game here and there - then that is massively unfair to the lad who was building a strong reputation over there.

Says more about Pearson than it does the player.

Another one of those has been managers still dining out on a flash in the pan success.

Pearson, like every City fan, is totally frustrated with Bakinson.
6'3'' and has everything to have a successful career.
In a game he switches off, goes missing, and comes across as lazy and couldn't care.
Which given his size and natural talent is incredibly frustrating.
He's a nice lad and I hope the move to ITFC along Pearson's parting remarks might just spark him into life.

Can't see that happening with Burgess as cover. Not saying it's right but I think KM will look at Donacien as more of a cb, so we have four CB's, if two get injured he would revert to four at the back and use Burns as a temp fullback, that's my guess anyway.

I think you may well be right. I’m sure we have enough until the summer now. Left wing back was a huge gaping hole.
