The Transfer Game

Hi Lads,

Right, there's been loads of speculation about transfers, so I thought I'd create a thread to make what could be a very busy few days, a bit more interesting.

The game is as follows:

should you wish to take part, you are required to predict the following:

1.) A list of player names you think we will sign
2.) The amount of players you think we may sign. (this can be a different amount than within your list of players within point "1", to spread your risk and chance of points
3.) A "Dead Cert" transfer. - the player you are sure we will get.
4.) The first player to be announced
5.) the Final player to be announced

1.) Each player you name that is correct, you will receive 20 points. every name you list that we dont sign you'll lose 5 points

2.) If you guess the correct amount of players (doesn't matter who they are, just a total number), you will receive 25 points + a further 5 bonus points for every correct player you named in point "1". for every player under or over the amount of players you choose, you'll be deducted 10 points. (For example, if we sign 5 players and you predict 3, you'll lose 20 points. If we sign 4 and you predict 6, you'll also lose 20 points)

3.) "Dead Cert" - if you are correct, you will receive 50 points. If you are wrong, you will be deducted 25 points.

4.) You will receive 40 bonus points if you are correct with the first player through the door.

5.) You will receive 50 bonus points if you are correct with the final player through the door.

you may spread your risk throughout items 1 to 5, and can even contradict yourself (I.e with names of players and amount of players) - but remember the deductions.

2.) Number of players we will sign:
5

3.) Dead cert:
Lloris

4.) First player:
Lloris

5.) Final player:
Damiao



Actual result at the end of the window:

1.) Players joined:
Lloris
Dembele
Willian
Remy
M'vila.

2.) No of actual players:
5

3.) Dead Cert
(Lloris would be correct)

4.) First player signed:
Willian

5.) Last players signed:
Dembele


Points scored:

1.) players correct = 2 (willian and Lloris) = 40 points. 2 incorrect players listed (Damiao and Moutinho) = -10 points
2.) number of players = 5 (correct) = 25 bonus points + a total of 10 bonus points for 2 correct players = 35 points
3.) Dead cert - Lloris (correct) = 50 points
4.) First in - Willian = 0 points
5.) Last in - Dembele = 0 points

Total = 115 points


Hopefully all of this makes sense. it's just interesting to see who you guys actually think we'll get.

my prediction to come. - just going to have a think.

remember to act quick. entries made after the signing of our first player will not count.
