EXTRA TIME Posted at 23:00 If your deal hasn't gone through yet - don't panic! Clubs sometimes conclude deals at the last minute and it is not always easy for them to get everything completed and sent over by 11pm. The so called 'deal sheet' allows a club to confirm that a deal has been reached in order to allow for additional time to submit the remaining documentation. The sheet cannot be used prior to 21:00 BST and needs to arrive fully completed before the transfer window closes. Once the sheet arrives, clubs have got until 1am in which to submit the full paperwork. So don't go to bed yet... This is from the beeb, So clubs only had all summer but may need a bit more time! WTF?
Some other interesting stuff coming through .... Phil Hay ‏@PhilHayYEP 1m Bit of detail - fee for Matt Smith is in excess of £750k, fee for Poleon was around £100k. Poleon deal includes large sell-on clause. Phil Hay ‏@PhilHayYEP 1m The club received enquiries for Scott Wootton and Steve Morison but didn't really get close to a deal for either of them. #lufc Phil Hay ‏@PhilHayYEP 59s Pretty sure that Pavoletti was the player Leeds wanted. Definitely hasn't gone through. #lufc Sean Taylor ‏@seantaylorpress 29m Rotherham beat off competition from a SPL club to get Luciano Becchio. I know the SPL club were quoted £10K a week for the striker #rufc
Yeah, we definitely missed out on somebody as why else would we make Doukara permanent if not to make room for another loanee as we now have one loan spot left unless I'm mistaken (4 loanees: Benedicic, Adryan, Montenegro, del Fabro)... Maybe we shouldnt have been so hasty in selling Smith if our target (Pavoletti) wasnt even interested!
Yer got themselves a front line that finishes 15.fooked millwall off though didn't he so will always be remembered fondly.
This thread gives a fair summary for those who have not kept track http://www.thescratchingshed.com/2014/09/complete-round-up-of-leeds-uniteds-summer-transfers/
I reckon Poleon needed a move for his career. Guarantee he will bang the goals in at a lower level and end up getting a move to a champ club in the next couple years. He seems like a striker that needs a kick-start and will be very valuable in the future to me. And Smith, II'm not a big fan of his. Not that bothered that he moved on, we made profit there at least as we signed him on a free.
I'm not convinced with Doukara think we should have kept him on loan to see if he's worth a permanant contract. I think we've made a mistake selling our young English striker who and only time will tell may improve.
Good morning to Shaks how are you keeping on this lovely day lets hope we have done the right thing getting rid of Mat but according to Matt he asked for a transfer so at least we save 5% Hunt lost his way to Huddersfield so he is still with us and will probably be the ball boy at the next match don't put anything passed Cellino !
Morning Leeds60 from an overcast but warm Dublin, hope you and your good lady are both well. Didn't know he asked for a transfer, oh well that'll mean I can give the two of them stick if I make it over for the Fulham match....
Eh? What isn't true? Sure you got the right man? I posted the YEP piece about him being surprised! Where did I say otherwise?
