Mourinho has called his players Lazy and wants to bring in a fluffer to liven them up.

Spurs are also lining up a bid for Eintracht Frankfurt and Dutch striker Bas Dost, 31, following Jose Mourinho's complaints about the laziness of his squad. (Mail)

I don't know anything about what you've stated, except the lazy bit, but if I was Jose it is exactly what I would do, he really needs to start binning off some players. It's like watching boring old England of the past, where the managers will always select the same strikers and midfielders, even though they had a greater selection available to them. The only difference between the National Side and Spurs, is that England haven't won a trophy since 1966 <whistle>

If you look at Spurs purchases this window, not one of them is better than anything they’ve already got, and if they took Bas Dost that’d be another one.

Their 'golden generation' peaked a couple of seasons ago. Lloris, Toby, Vertonghen, Erikson, Ali, Kane etc and they still didn't even manage to win even a league cup. It's no surprise that they've tailed off and morale has taken a hit. Mourinho definitely needs to shake them up, but at the end of the day he's a spent manager at the top level and his planet sized ego won't motivate them, it will just alienate them. Look at the amount of dressing room fall outs that have followed Mourinho.

He's already started the blame game.

They should have cashed in on Ali or Kane when their stock was high. Could have rebuilt that defence and had change to spare. I think they've got the same problem that we had 15 years ago. A new stadium, coming off the back of a successful team (albeit with no trophies for Spurs) and it looking like they're about to take the next step, when actually the reality of being saddled with massive debt and not being able to properly strengthen hits. Coronavirus won't have helped either.

Ideal job for a dodgy conveyancer and an out of work pub strummer.
