Just shows how fashionable it is for small clubs like yours that kissing frogs is still the number one method.

Luck of the draw mate, he'll amount to **** all in the end, doesn't have the right attitude to realise any potential he has.

Tottenham striker Harry Kane, 24, will be a target for Real Madrid in the summer, with the Spanish club prepared to pay £200m for the England striker.

Kane, Spurs’ leading earner on £120,000 a week. Such a wage places him below a number of other top English players, and Ross Barkley has just signed a significantly better deal at Chelsea.

Salary alone will not be enough to retain a player whose motivations have never been driven by money. Earlier this month, Kane said Spurs need to begin winning trophies to keep him in the long term. “I’ve always said, ‘Keep progressing, keep getting better, start winning trophies.’ That’s the aim, as long as the club keep doing that I’m happy here,” he said.

Of further concern to Tottenham is the head coach situation at the Bernabeu. Despite winning eight trophies in his first 18 months in charge, Zinedine Zidane is under threat of dismissal and Pochettino is among the candidates being considered to replace him.

Though contracted until 2021, the Argentinian is on the lowest salary of all the coaches in the Premier League’s top six and also earns less than Sam Allardyce at Everton. Pochettino may also be targeted this summer by PSG.

I've said it before, but Spurs are going to have a rough ride ahead trying to keep their best players and pay for a new stadium. Apparently the stadium costs have risen from £400m to £750m and if they miss out on CL this year, then that's going to make it even harder to pay their players the £200k wages that will be needed to keep them.

Damning really that Ross Barkley is paid more than Harry Kane, and Sam Allardyce is paid more than Pochettino <laugh> And as the article indicates, Real might want to take both Kane and Pochettino to the Bernabeu.

Real won't be going for Poch. They go for winners.
