Surely a more encouraging line from Poch would have been
"Kane may need titles to be the best, and he will win them at Tottenham"

Maybe he's addressing the immediate media frenzy....the collective MO is...Spurs don't win anything so there players will leave. It's easy to prove that theory by reading the hacks and sites like this. So Poch has just said a big **** you to everyone and that we don't need titles for Kane to be the best....he will outscore every other player in his position...that makes him the best. It's quite simple really.

Why do Chelsea buy players from other teams? because they are top drawer players in the respective team no doubt. You don't buy them because they won a trophy, you buy them because you think they are top players.

Poch is right...Kane can be the best where he is...this is football talk mate...not social conditioning by Sky to make you think you are **** unless you move to a team winning everything. Just like you look down on Pep for being a fraud who manages bankrolled clubs a lot of real footballing people see beyond the trophies when it comes to individual players and acknowledging how good they are.

 

Or they could just look at the fact that Spurs best players in the last 15 years have all left to go to clubs that win trophies (Carrick, Berbatov, Modric, Bale).
