    It's debatable.

Because of the 150 pages, it's rarely been about a Tottenham Spiral, just more or less a slanging match between posters.

So in the sense of the thread remaining active, it's successful in that light but with regards to an actual spiral and being on topic, it's been a failure. Plus, when considering that your second sentence on the opening paragraph states - "Having punched above their weight last season they now look destined to return to their rightful place behind the top six." - it's now looking highly unlikely (albeit still possible, I'll give you that). The last time we actually finished outside of the top 6 was about 8 years ago.

It has been difficult as you can only work with what you have. Unfortunately the rabble that have tried to derail this fabulously well thought out thread have largely failed. You can see their contributions all over this forum. It was deliberately tongue-in-cheek to garner response but I'm afraid there's no accounting for third rate wums.

  5. It's a 150 pages of people throwing rancid vegetables and fruit at you, mate! It's hardly anything to be proud of!

Don't forget to count his 'gap' / "mind the gap" postings. ***
Probably another 40 pages immediately gone there.

    *** These I find bizarre.
Which teams are we currently "minding" the gap between : those above or below Spurs in the PL ??

Well done to Spurs for a great season <applause>

I think it's actually more impressive than Chelsea, who just spent a load of money and got lucky having no injuries all season, plus a load of dodgy ref decisions early in the season. You've kept the results coming despite a decent number of big injuries and the majority of the money you spent going to useless garbage in Janssen and Sissoko £47m FFS <laugh>

Not that I think you would have challenged for the title without injuries anyway because you're not actually that good in terms of quality, we battered you both games, but the consistency is commendable and well worth 3 places above Arsenal.

Anyway this was a compliment <cheers>

  19. Tottenham are confident of keeping hold of 20-year-old England midfielder Dele Alli despite interest from Real Madrid and Manchester City.

Yep, it certainly looks like Spurs are spiralling down into obscurity.

What a genius the OP is... NOT!

    What a muppet!

    DUMPED TWICE IN EUROPE
2nd time by plumbers and accountants
    I'd call that a 50% spiral
