You don't even remember the 70's.I can guarantee you i've seen my team live more times this season than you have seen Utd since you started suppporting them in 1993
we had Matth only going out to rest of boards posting out of joy when they lose points ... nice to see there are so many Matths on other boards too
You saw **** all of Utd in France in the 70"s you tom pepper. There was no live games or internet back then fella, over here there was only motd and the big match on Sunday and they were only highlights.
Where would you be exactly without Rooney's contribution? 10th, 12th, lower than that? Suarez has 11 assists 20 goals. he has not assisted every goal so what, 50% of goals scored are Suarez, but isn't that why we bought him and why we give him service up front? to get goals, and because that works you say it is a negative on the team? Man you are an idiot. We are better without Suarez than you lot are without Rooney that's for sure. We were top while Suarez was out. Where were United when we were without our 1 man seeing as we're nothing without him
Moyes saying United totally bossed the game and deserved to win. Do you United fans actually buy this?
I thought Spurs were awful. They just made more of their chances. If the lads had been more "determined" to stay on their feet United might have got something
Really? I just don't buy what Moyes says. He sounds like he is desperately pandering to the United faithful and doesn't really believe what he is saying himself.
Hull and Norwich. This defeat was on the cards after the performances in those two games. Didnt see the west ham game but Villa were absolutely shockingly bad. So two lucky results and Villa made United look a lot better than they are. What makes it worse is Howard Webb of all people didn't buy the 3 desperate cheating attempts to get a penalty today. If Fergie was still managed United they definitely would have got one of those.
No. We may have had most of the possession but our ****ing **** midfield created full all and offered no protection to our defence, as usual.
I don`t have to "buy" anything Moyes says, i watch the games and can see it is starting to come together. Before the season started i was looking at us finnishing 6/8, now i can see us 4/6.
This is true, we are not very good at the moment but slight improvements can be seen every game. We are still only five points off your mighty team who are playing at the top of their game so there is still some hope for us to get top four.
You really are clutching as straws if you think that Very light squad, been missing two very important players in Enrique and Sturridge for a while Still if it makes you feel better thinking that
I wonder if many players have a nemesis. Evra's appears to be Lennon. Lennon must cream himself when he sees Evra's name on the team sheet before the game.
I don't think we have played our best in 99% of the games tbh. Against Spurs we played very well, it is hard to judge how well you play against teams there for the taking like Norwich. At WHL we played our best game of football this season. The passing and pressing were excellent. Other than that game we played well against City and really no one could complain if we came away with 3 points there with the good goal ruled and two sitters missed n all as well as their 2nd being a complete flap by butter fingers, Chelsea's second goal again butterfingers. So although we lost those games and did destroy Spurs it at least means we can compete against the top sides, we had some bad luck with keeper errors and poor penalty calls too though. We have definitely not played as good as we have done last season. Leaked goals for fun this year too. 4th or better is the target, none of us really think about title chances unless we are within striking distance with 5 games to go tbh. We have City and Chelsea at home in the last 3 games
Neutral perspective ... with no agenda other than enjoying the banter on here ... it's the worse United 'team' I've seen in ten years - partly because some key players have just got too old now and the successors are either still too young or not quite adequate - you need a coupe of major signings. Combine this with the fact that your key rivals have got better - either signings wise or just coming together as teams and I have to say I can't see a top 4 finish ... and there needs to be a significant turn around to keep ahead of the likes of Spurs, Everton and perhaps even Newcastle, each of whom have won at Old Trafford ... 5/7 would be my thought without significant strengthening in January.
I thought 6/8 before the season started but am now inclined to think 4/6, there has been signes of the team starting to play in the last few games.
True. I remember Nani used to turn Cole inside out (ahh those were the days, sadly they seem to be long gone). Same with Lennon and Evra, Evra has never been able to cope with him
