usless 3 million. As much as people wnat to hate on Sahin, I think he wasn';t used correctly. Should he have bucked his ideas up? probably, but he was not a number 10, more of an alonso type. Think him with Coutinho in front would have been lethal but it wasn;t to be. Spent a lot of time on that transfer and probably missed out on other targets that may have done better considering.

Whereas Assaidi hasn't been used at all <laugh>

Sahin never wanted to join / play for us. Plus, loans are no use when trying to build for the future.

Be fair to Allen and Borini. They have both had major bone injuries.

If you want the person who let us down the most this season it is the man who bit Ivanovic. But he has also played incredibly incredible football this season.
Oddly enough, I think Suarez's Serbian takeaway might actually benefit us in the long run. It's taken him off the radar a little and so there might not be such an effort to prise him away.
If he hadn't done it, if he'd gone on to win the golden boot and ended the season on a high then we'd probably have had a bigger job fending off potential suitors.
See? It's all part of Brendan's Master Plan. :)

why on earth do peopel think that

a) there were any names in these envelopes

b) that any of his signings would be in the names

a) They don't! It just a bit of fun.

b) Good point. The names were supposed to be players that would let BR down, why would he sign someone he thought would let him down

some people really seem to think there were names in there.

I know who were really in those envelopes.... John henry, tom warner, ian ayre.... and Brendan was right eh?

Brendan Rodgers infamously pulled his envelope trick at the start of the season, which was caught on camera for Being Liverpool.
Now that the season's over, who would you say are the three most deserving names to go in them?

It's nothing to do with performance/underperformance. The envelopes actually contained golden tickets stamped with the names Charlie Bucket, Mike TV and Augustus Gloop, our three star signings for the summer. Let's just say our tactics are going to be quite different next season.

What are your thought MFG? Now that the season is over. Do you think that we will get better next season with Rodgers in charge?

I think he has done ok and that he will need to get the right players in over the Summer if we are to get 4th next season, if there is no big improvement then he will be in trouble.

I'm more interested in his thoughts regarding BR outperforming his predecessors in his first league season. Or is it like I said on another thread? The managers win percentage before joining the club that counts? <whistle>
