The Three Envelopes

  1. Whereas Assaidi hasn't been used at all <laugh>

Sahin never wanted to join / play for us. Plus, loans are no use when trying to build for the future.

Oddly enough, I think Suarez's Serbian takeaway might actually benefit us in the long run. It's taken him off the radar a little and so there might not be such an effort to prise him away.
If he hadn't done it, if he'd gone on to win the golden boot and ended the season on a high then we'd probably have had a bigger job fending off potential suitors.
See? It's all part of Brendan's Master Plan. :)

  5. a) They don't! It just a bit of fun.

    b) Good point. The names were supposed to be players that would let BR down, why would he sign someone he thought would let him down

It's nothing to do with performance/underperformance. The envelopes actually contained golden tickets stamped with the names Charlie Bucket, Mike TV and Augustus Gloop, our three star signings for the summer. Let's just say our tactics are going to be quite different next season.

What are your thought MFG? Now that the season is over. Do you think that we will get better next season with Rodgers in charge?

I think he has done ok and that he will need to get the right players in over the Summer if we are to get 4th next season, if there is no big improvement then he will be in trouble.

  11. I'm more interested in his thoughts regarding BR outperforming his predecessors in his first league season. Or is it like I said on another thread? The managers win percentage before joining the club that counts? <whistle>
