Not 606, we are frowned up[on by the people who are? Every forum think they are the best, but to be slated by a load of ****ing no personallity ****s, is hard to take.
I just read the link you posted and have to say that T&S's is on there lying through his arse. What an absolute ****ing tosser, going onto another forum to post lies when he knows I can't respond. And what's even more pathetic is that the other posters welcome him back with open arms This is someone who left that forum to post on here but is welcomed like the prodigal son. They should tell him to get ****ed ......... they must be ****ing desperate for members.
I love music like this. Army brass bands really do make the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end. If there is one thing we do best, it is this.
Sorry to intrude on private grief, but it's good to know that it's not only the Saints' Board melting down over nothing. Comacchio- is your name a tribute to Tom Hunter (VC), or were you in Fleet Protection? BTW Nimrod gets me every time- as does Sunset...(got to be a Marine band, though!)
Dunno about you mate but, as I get older, I get more interested in history. I've just done a 3 day walk in the Cheviots in the footsteps of my Reiver ancestors, the Scotts, and it felt wonderful. I've just read the history of Mary Queen of Scots and found it enthralling. And every Remembrance Sunday becomes more and more moving. I half dread/half look forward to Nimrod because I know the effect it will have on me. There ain't half been some clever barstards ......... Elgar was one that Ian Dury missed out
My interest levels are actually increasing. I remember learning about this in History lessons in school and to be honest, I didn't give a damn about it. Now, I appreciate our rich and vast history so much more now. I'll look into visiting some museums now and might pop over to Eden Camp in the near future. I am fascinated by wars, how they start, why they start etc.
I've just read an incredible account of a regiment of a North Eastern anti-cavalry unit called the First Tyneside Hoss Clouters Sorry mate, it just slipped out. To be serious, I've become insatiable regarding our history .... you as well by the sound of it. I've been watching everything I can to do with the Anglo Saxons, there's some incredible TV productions at the moment.
There were some programs regarding Avro bombers that I watched not so long ago. To think not long before, the concept of flight was a foreign one. The ingenuity we had (and still have but that is a whole different debate) is phenomenal.
No flies on you mate, Tom Hunnter vc, did die in 1945 ar Comacchio in Italy but you already know that. My user name actually comes from the 2nd option... I take it that you are or were a bootneck?
