I find this a worry also.

I really thought we'd see something different in this game, not radical, the players havnt been there to completely change, but something.

It was exactly the same. The system/tactics arnt working, we are by far to exposed at the back while not being able to support the front 3.

That won't be solved by running about more, or trying harder. It's just not working.

    There's 3 cups to play for :)

People have to work hard and harder than what we are seeing and klopps got to get his head round the fact he can't keep doing the same things in the same system as its no longer what will work for the players.

We didn’t though because everyone was on international.

Matip, thiago we’re only 2 first teamers that weren’t with their national teams.

Patience is a virtue. Hard work never solved anything instantly. Can't switch on hard work and results will come.

    We have to grind.

What about the cancellations in the league then, we've had ample training time to look ****

Although I accept that there's an argument that a break gives time to work on things I've never been convinced by it.
Some said they thought the cancellations were timely but I'd rather we'd just got on with it.
Whatever the reasons - whether it's the disruption to the rhythm, concentration or something else - breaks don't seem to help us much.
I said the other day that I just can't get into the swing of this season - seems our players are having the same trouble.

Imo "the break" is really disruptive at 99% of players vanish and it only gives time for unfit players to recover rather than get match fit and it should give analysts time to work out issues to start working on.

Imo our shape is wrong for the players we have today and only a lot of time will fix that.

I'm looking at our "break" for the world cup and wondering how we might build a preseason to exploit it.

    For example.

Alisson won't be around for any of it
    Fabinho won't.
Henderson will go but not play.

Firmino - likely to not go
Arthur - no chance of going
Thiago - very low chance of going.
Trent - fair chance of not going
    Matip not going
    Diaz no qualified
    Salah not qualified
    Robertson not qualified.

Are people starting to get an idea?

We need to scrape by to the world cup, secure 2nd in the cl group and stay somewhere close to top 4 for a push after Christmas

But fsg better get the cheque book out big time.

I'd have preferred too have played straight away whilst those **** feelings were still raw. The break gave time for those hurt feelings to fade and no longer matter

Henderson played great passes in our first 2 goals on Saturday and they are not isolated events. I think think describing him is workmanlike is very much a disservice.

Still 3 cups to play for.

10 points behind city after beating them. #reality.

There's a few green shoots starting to appear.

Gomez turnaround from the blumbing clown performance at cb a few weeks ago to beating haaland ins nothing short of miraculous.

Salah just starting to look sort of salah like.

Shadow vvd trying to run a little.

The base issues are still there, still not quite right but fighting.

    For you optimists.

    our next 9 games

    west Ham H
    Forest A
    Leeds H
    Spurs A
    Southampton H
Aston Villa A (post blood cup)
    Leicester H
    Brentford A
    Brighton A

any other season of the last 5 you optimists would be expecting 100% points except for spurs. this is 24 points that would transform our ****ty league season

if we win all 9 we could be on for 80 points not 70. just to say it there.

now... what reality is like is another matter entirely but if the tone here is optimists then i'm SHOCKED none of you have thought of this yet.
