We're due a performance aren't we. Sounds like Bruce has really thought hard about preparation for this one. I can't wait to get going.
I think this will be a different game to the nervy England type performance shambles last week against Bristol. Then we still had the luxury of a few cushioned points between us and Watford, with the pressure of being at home and playing a team like relegated Bristol, with supposedly nothing left to play for. The occasion obviously got to the players, who are facing a promotion to the biggest league of their lives for the very first time. Hopefully, with SB's fish & chips trip to sunny Hornsea this week, he's been working flat out on relaxing the players before their biggest game of the season (for some, the biggest game of their lives). Maybe the game last night could also have helped the players. They've seen how the game should be played now at this stage in the season - both Watford and Leicester went hell for leather last night, throwing caution to the wind, spurred on by the fact that the season is drawing to a close. The finishing line is in sight. Our players should be in the frame of mind for doing the same today. It's a Cup Final now, no longer just another league game. I think we'll do it today, as long as the nerves of last week's game have been overcome. One final push, one last game with a superb performance, maybe the best all season, to show to the rest of the league that we are worthy of being in the position we are in, and worthy of going up. And a big **** YOU to Zola and the Watford crew. COME ON CITYYY!!!!
