This is a thread about club meetings and fans protests, not a vehicle for you to babble on about yourself. Please desist.

To which I have contributed. I am merely responding to the claims I am a Troll (not) and that I am really another poster (wrong again). Perhaps, you should direct your ire at these individuals.

My view on Ming is similar to Voltaire’s quote
“Think for yourselves, and allow others the privilege to do so, too.” (and no, he didn’t say the one about defending to the death people’s right to express views he disagreed with)
I don’t agree with his original position on how important knitwear was, but he has posted some interesting posts and it’s at least keeping the debate going

He has done exactly what you accused Ben of though, referring to others as ‘cavemen’ because he disagrees with their view

I think we all realise that you’ll get extreme views on here, but that’s often the fun of it. People will argue with each other, but nothing to get excited about...it’s not real life (these discussions over a pint would be much more conciliatory on everyone’s part...but not as much fun written down!)

I am interested in which part of Harlem he’s from though

Alllams Out

It's all getting a bit tetchy, so I'd best not use this as an excuse to post the nationality gag about the two Voltaires. It involved the French one, and the Pole Voltaire.

They have no rules in place to deal with any of these sort of issues, they never expected the mental owners that we've seen at various clubs recently, so there's no specific rules to stop them. They're addressing this at the moment, something that HCST are involved in and have been for some time, but these things take forever to get sorted. There was supposed to be a rule change after Blackpool pocketed all the parachute money, to stop it happening as it is with us now, but it doesn't look like they ever managed to get it into the rules.

As I've said before, I've no problem with them pocketing the parachute payments. Allamhouse took on the risks/debt to get City promoted (hence the outstanding loan) so IMO the money is theirs to pocket.

It's what else they might do that worries me. Once they have recouped the loan, they have carte Blanche to salt the earth (and I believe that they are spiteful enough - no matter how foolish - to do so).

They should just be honest about things, come out and state publicly that they don't care about the club or its supporters, are reclaiming their "gift" because they feel betrayed by the supporters and will sell it on for £1 once they've pocketed the parachute payments and sold Bowen and Grosicki.

You don't take gifts back. It's fundamentally immoral.

More's the pity OLM... I am certain the FA would love to use Hull City AFC as a site case..

If what @Obadiah said is true, about the owners having a buyer lined up for when they were given the freehold for next to nothing, then I think we can all agree that it was never a gift, just a business decision that went wrong.
Then they should never have called it a gift. Most people of the Earth knew it wasn't a gift of course, but they should never have said that. They did though, so it was a gift.

A gift they're taking back.
