No, but before all of this came out, I was told exactly what happened and I have no doubts over the person who told me.

If I had posted it on here, it may have been seen as me trying to undermine a rep from another group.

You were told somebody's interpretation of what happened?

I am surprised about the scarves and as Geoff comes across as a sensible reasonable type of bloke I can't just believe Ehab's version of events. As there has been 2 meeting with nothing really resolved the article was only reiterating the fact that the third meeting ought to bring positive results or the majority of the fans would not be happy. Yes I suppose it could be seen as a threat but how many threats have been made against the fans, especially the one at the last meeting claiming some kind of action against protestors. As was said by someone else everyone was in the room tonight so why no try and sort something out as grown ups. To say go home and come back in a few weeks suggests to me there will never be another meeting because they must know that there will be protests so they can use that as an excuse to get out of it. It has been a big sham all along. Be interesting listening to the interview on Friday's sportstalk.

But this has given them their “out”. I would be far happier if all Ehab could quote was a patently obvious spurious reason, like those you suggest, rather than something which could reflect badly on the supporters representatives.

I do think his reasons are patently spurious, but I accept you don’t

The Trust also have to deal with the fact that many members want them to be far stronger in their dealings though.

Also don’t forget they’re not the only fans reps at the meeting. There is only one party at fault IMO

^^a 100x this^^ ....... everything they do is meant to split the support base even further, and still some of the muppets who ''follow us'' can't see it; we really are getting what we deserve, as a fan group we're ****ing pathetic; we're arguing over bastard scarves while the loathsome toad and his chav bastard son are sat at home pissing themselves.

Come back Patty, for ****s sake, come back.

Out of interest, what do you suggest the fan group does from here on in?

MoH

What about the neutral? If you take emotion out of it, objectively, there is now blame on both sides.

MoH

Intelligent people ignore the provocations and talk to each other to find a solution acceptable to both sides. They walked away. As a result there are likely to be more protests. The neutral, if there any left, will look on in bewilderment. The non-neutral suspects the Allams had no intention of using our name or introducing meaningful concessions.

I just think they are stupid and nothing they do should surprise me, but, of course, it usually does.

I’ll admit it is borderline but I do not like the fact that he can attribute his reasons to something that was allegedly said/ given to him.

The Allams are running out of road if you look at it from a purely footballing perspective i.e like you and me as fans who love our club BUT to those hoping that this will result in some kind of panacea, I think you’ll be waiting a long time.

Why? Because they, unlike you or me, are not fans and never have been. They are business men and they make “business” decisions. If they thought they could be financially affected by the stance they have adopted that might make them think again but when the payments they have received (and will continue to) from the Premier League are as much as they are any protests are doomed to fail.
