I'm 52 I think. Anyway, what are the memories that stick? I remember my camping holiday at sands end in the 80's. We thought the baseball bat dad brought was for rounders. Oh no, he took it to **** over the youngsters in the tent next to us who wouldn't shut the **** up.
I have vivid memories of a camping holiday when some deranged f@cker beat us over the head with a baseball bat for having a good time.
My earliest memory is waking up in the ICU after a lads holiday. Six months of facial reconstruction and a serious phobia for tenting is all I can remember. I also don’t like bats.
What the **** were you two doing together that was so enjoyable? Especially seeing as GG was under 10 in the 80s and Jim was in his 60s.
Being in hospital in Russia in the early 80s with alcohol poisoning after watching the Red Square Parade 15 months in Australia which included Italia 90 matches at 4am. So many memories I can still anchor to the actual years - most other stuff after the age of 21 drifts into a fog.
Nicking my mate's Mum's wooden dildo one morning before we set off for school from his house, then losing it during break. The best of days, the worst of days.!!
I remember going to Marco Polo's in town for a meal with the family for my 9th birthday. I remember marveling at what a driver my dad was as he reversed his Jag at breakneck into a space that didn't even appear to be long enough, nevermind leaving room to get back out. What a legend. I remember sitting down at the restaurant excited. They had a magician on downstairs (I wonder if they still do that) and I won a £5 by guessing the correct hat it was under much to the chagrin of the magician. But really I think the abiding memory, and reason I remember it so well, was that when they brought my banana split, complete with birthday sparklers, they also brought us glasses of Coca Cola. The young waitress promptly dropped all three over my younger brother, dousing him in sticky brown liquid. Tears did flow. Joy for me, embarrassment for him. Great times.
The 5th year lads nicked it. Me playing piggy in the middle with a 8 inch wooden dildo is a memory forever etched into my mind!
Love that she was already thinking about the environment even back then. Very sustainable https://www.etsy.com/uk/market/wood_dildos
Looked like mahogany and was very life-like, so I like to think it was a bespoke hand-carved commission. My mate's mother was a Sea-Hag by the way, who wore short bleached denim mini-skirts and no knickers. The sight I saw walking back from my paper round one morning I can never un-see.!
