I'm not sure, Bottas on those harder tyres could end up in a cracking position if tyre wear comes up and surprises Red Bull and Ferrari.
So what does “Hang on in there” mean? Does it mean “we’re working on it” or does it mean “good luck with it Danny”?
Lewis dropping back, looks like out of tyres already!! Has he got any left? Riccy issue not going to be sorted. So Vettel looking good for top step.
Ricciardo has issues, Vettel has mullered his tyres, Hamilton is just slow, Kimi vs Bottas for the win in 30 laps?
Must be an ERS issue for Ricciardo. Remember when both Mercedes went in Canada? Rosberg was only losing a few seconds with that so in Monaco may be manageable, may just be one of the two motors.
Hamiltons best option is probably to catch up to Vettel, then switch to super-softs and then just pray. I don't think he'll make it to the end on these tyres. He has got a new set of Hypers left but that means waiting to lap 60ish and then probably still not overtaking. By then Hulk and Ocon will probably be to close as well.
I would have thought one of Ferrari or Mercedes would have gambled on a 2 stop given the situation. Both pitwalls asleep.
Or just happy to finish where they are. Seems like doing anything else is a gamble no-one feels is worth taking.
