Seems to be a better replacement for Mandron from what I've read. Seems to be very good in the air and has a turn of pace. Goal record isn't great but then Eaves was a prime example of not having a great record before putting on a Gills shirt.
Another two more through the door today. First announcement was much travelled (and troubled looking at his history with the police) midfielder Jacob Mellis. Joins after leaving Bolton where he only joined in January. Centre midfielder who previously played for Evans at Mansfield Town a couple of years ago. Also famously got sacked by Chelsea along with some other players (including ex Gill Billy Knott) for setting off a smoke bomb at the training ground.
Next to join was the 20 year old, 6ft5 left footed defender Zechariah Medley on loan from Arsenal. Comes incredibly highly rated and appears to be very highly thought of at Arsenal, having made his debut for them 18 months ago in an Europa League match. The lad grew up in Medway which may have helped get the deal done but sounds like many Championship and League One clubs sought after his signature.

Thanks for the update mate, I've lost touch with the moves of late;
I'm very impressed that Steve Evans and Scally have been able to attain the services of the Arsenal lad. Financially it will also be beneficial to our club in not having to have players on contracts, that we might not be able to afford at some point due to the exploits of COVID.
This also makes up for our Max Ehmer going to Bristol Rovers, just because they've now got money (tad of sarcasm in there), but it just goes to show, despite all of Scally's critics, he's way more savvy financially. I'll laugh my balls off if we end up higher than BR.

I'd happily pay tenner a game to watch it on ifollow, obviously free to STHolders. I suppose this is going to be all about broadcasting rights now, as I don't know what the contractual tv obligations are on broadcasting.
There are plenty of rumours doing the rounds, this would be good if true but I think it's doubtful.

Pete O'Rourke whose a sports journalist on twitter tends to be spot on most of the time (announced Lovell leaving about 90mins before the club confirmed he was sacked) and stated yesterday we had Graham tied up on a deal which is positive.
Looks like I was wrong to doubt the football insider, he was spot on.
I won't say I doubt this one as I was wrong when I said that before.
On second thoughts this is very doubtful.
