Yeah the buyers dig their heels in and won't just give up. It's now about winning for them as much as anything else.
Not even surprised mate. Just another tyrannical religious type. Always goes to their heads and they start abusing their powers. First its a ban from a thread, and before you know its off with your head. Just ask Jamal
Read your own comments on this and OG thread Dumb **** Now a classic Munson comment "er er n.. no i was er C...can you er .."
Believe it or not and something thats been highlighted by myself and others over recent times, but I've been far from negative about most things for a good number of months mate. From Ashley to Bruce to the takeover and even the strips
To be honest I thought you must be following one of those life changing mantras. You know like when you decide to say yes to everything instead of no, and see how **** goes. I thought you must have woke up and thought, you know what I'm gonna have a positive mindset heading forward, and I'm gonna start seeing the silver lining in everything. Bruce will rattle that out of you by November
I always maintained I was never negative, but simply being real or realistic. I'm not sure I think life was tough and that makes everything you see look worse than it is. I guess now it's someone else's turn to overcome their mindset.
I've always believed in being positive in all walks of life. My missus is a negative bugger at times. Thinks the worlds against her. She will often say to me "Why are you so positive? You just think everything is going to be alright and work out in the end". I find it generally does when you don't approach everything like something is gonna go wrong. **** happens. Dwelling on negative things or having a negative mindset? I can't see what is gained.
You're spot on... I used the gym to fix myself, but since covid I realised I had to start training my mind because the mirror is just a plaster. I'll have set backs but I really am trying to embrace the world and what I've got. IT'S HAPPENING
NUFC isn't life. That's kinda the point. It's a hobby, a topic of conversation. Blurring the lines between the two is where it goes wrong, because there's nothing anyone can ever do about the club.
Your last sentence is spot on and I have found its an important life lesson as well - don’t waste time worrying about things you have no control over,. This takeover/no-takeover is a great example. I am just going to get on with doing what I love doing - watching football and supporting Newcastle. If it happens great, if not, it wasn’t my fault.
I think the biggest problem with football today is the information overload from Sky and subsequently Twitter/general internet. It’s the bizarre nature that the exposure has made it valuable, which has brought all the corruption, which is then under the spotlight, but can’t be touched. It’s ceased being a sport and become a political, capitalist nightmare.
Lord Westwood and Mckeag would be insulted by the accusation that corruption, brown envelopes and complete disdain for the supporters had only happened since Sky, Twitter etc. The irony was that old Westwood had a patch over one eye...
Aye, old Shepherd was a shark an’all. Sold a warehouse to his son for a few quid then leased it with the clubs money for ****loads.
