No mate they'll go ahead on goal difference. Win still needed or two draws imo to kick back and watch Hull and the Mags sock it to each other. Two games to get two points for a pleasurable last day. Providing the Mags and Hull lose at the weekend of course.
i think im right in saying though that if we lose all 3 games Hull can pick up 2 draws to finish above us. a draw against Leicester then they are gonna have to win one of them. if we were to play Leicester right now and pick up a point then Hull would know they need a win to catch us, so it would be an important point. However as the next round of relegation fixtures all kick off the same time then we wont know how a draw would suit us untill 5pm Saturday. A Hull win on Saturday then the Leicester point could end up being errmm....pointless. Although that could depend how the town do! And this is assuming we get nowt from Arsenal & Chelsea. My heads in a spin!
A win for us, Hull & Newcastle could see Leicester in the bottom 3 next week, Burnley showed yesterday that even doomed teams can spring a surprise
I'm dreading it all being up in the air on the final day. Beat Leicester we're laughing. I just want us to beat the foxes 1-0, don't want to effect their goal average too much in case they don't beat QPR on the last day. I want us and Leicester to stay up, my ideal results this weekend will be us winning 1-0 and the Mags and Hull getting beat. That will mean we're safe and Hull need to turn over Man U by a difference of at least 3 goals to finish above Leicester with them losing to QPR. Pretty much would make a last day Hull or the Mags. The dream scenario for me.
Sounds good to me mate Sadly I can't see Hull winning another point and Newcastle will stay up because of that. However, the last day could be insane with GD separating a few teams and relegating one of them.
I think Hull have maybe a point in them max and will go down this season. But it's unpredictable as us last season and Leicester this season proves. I just want us safe this weekend to watch the unpredictability unfold
Haha! Dont be greedy! 2-3 weeks ago we were doomed and I would have been over the moon at the prospect for last day nail biting drama, so long as we are out of the relegation zone before the final kick off. The fact that we are not as good as down at this moment is a bonus as far as I'm concerned. Although the prospect of getting relegated at the expense of the town scares the **** out of me! In some ways I just wish they were not involved.
... done it before... once took my then girlfriend on a surprise mystery valentines day trip to Roker park in the early 80's ... She took it surprisingly well ! ... unfortunately won't be there in person on Saturday
Hey, everyone is entitled to their dream scenario. It's not a prediction by any stretch of the imagination. One thing relegation battles has taught us is that we can't take anything for granted. It will throw up more craziness.
You flash bastard. It was all in the local press. Never thought I'd get to hear from the man himself!
