    The trouble with that theory is Bristol is not in "competition with anyone else ,Swansea hasn't helped its self but neither has the WAG or anywhere west of us

    You could say that Bristol is in competition with Cardiff, Newport, Swindon, Reading and London <ok>....but not Severn Tunnel Junction<laugh>

    maybe now that the tolls have gone but Bristol is a bigger city with a larger catchment area and with Cribbs causeway supplied with two motorways , I don't think Bristol has anything to worry about <cheers>

    What we should be be pushing for is the Parkway, plus an electrified line from Cardiff to Swansea, plus renewed sea links with Ireland plus an integrated tram system plus a cunning plan to make sure it all fits together!<laugh>

    I remember as a kid watching the Harlem Globe Trotters cartoon series on TV and laughing when one of the teams that they were playing were called ‘The Dunkers’ ..... <laugh>
