Gutted , I do like Swansea Sound which I've listened to it from its inception but it seems to be on its way just to be " hits" of whatever decade you choose . Another part of my life disappearing . https://radiotoday.co.uk/2020/05/most-of-acquired-bauer-stations-to-become-greatest-hits-radio/
I remember it starting up as well Matt in the mid 70s I think they had a guy called Dave Bowen on in the mornings and of course Steve Dewitt who used to do the Over 25s nights at the Top Rank
Yes remember them both with Chris Smart on the Sunday phone in and John Powell who got paid for forecasting the weather by seeing if his pine cones were open or shut and which way his flag was blowing .Wales 1st and best commercial radio station will be missed.
They did a great April Fools on a Sunday morning when they used to have people phoning relatives from overseas. They had someone phone from Australia and he didn't know he was on the radio so he kept telling his cousin that he had pulled a great break-in before he went to Australia and had hidden the loot in a tree in Singleton Park - described exactly where the tree was and everything - they had people there to interview the suckers who went to get the loot.
I remember that Australian guy. He used to try and ring famous people up and try and get through to them. I remember him trying to get through to Idi Amin once.

Great memories of Pompas on the Cross in the early 70's ,great big wooden floor and a cracking juke box., buy a cup of coffee and spend the night in there trying to cop off with any of the girls from Morriston Comp , there was also Pangos on the left before the turning into Tir Canol playing fields. Where the Chinese take away is on Peniel Green road was an Italian cafe but the name escapes me , Crescis in Skewen still going strong who's ice cream is imo is as good as Joes , I have a few good friends of Italian decent and if I wasn't Welsh then I think I'd like to have been Italian

Funnily enough my parents were involved in a cafe in Port Talbot on Station Road back in the day called Bellis. My grandfather who died in 1968 aged about 84 used to sit right near the fish and chip ranges smoking Senior Service and Players ciggies all day but I think he died of dementia.... My parents had enough of smelly fish and chips not long after and went in to the pub trade for a cleaner life but boy the hours were long....
And the council in their infinite wisdom decided last year to paint double yellow lines in front of the premises and up to the footpath leading to Langland . how to kill a business in one easy move .Anchors
