Large swathes of the city centre would be left submerged by flash flooding, with some of the capitalâs most famous landmarks, including Cardiff Castle and Bute Park, left completely underwater please log in to view this image
I know this is a WUM thread , and a good idea if it keeps the idiotic posts off the other ones. But just posting links is not really quality wind ups in my opinion. Come on guys , (to both bluebirds and Jacks), we can do better than this. Still looking for an intelligent WUM concerning facts that can be argued over about the football clubs and or players that doesnt need to resort to juvenile name calling or videos about fans. I will put my two penneth worth in: Who has finished higher than the other club more times : Cardiff Who has won an FA cup : Cardiff But remember : The only good thing about history is that you don't have to study it again when you leave school! History is in the past and has no bearing on how you are performing now. it is the present and future that concerns us all now. The only exception is if things that happen in the past have an impact upon the present and future e.g. Swans previous historic dabbles with administration : no impact on Swansea in present or future. Cardiffs financial woes in the past....Mmmmmmmm definate impact on present and future meethinks! Who is the best team in wales NOW: Swansea Who is in the top flight Now: Swansea Who is not in any debt NOW: Swansea Ok - let the discussion really begin! The futures Biright , The futures White (and orange if away!)
Damn. Millstad still there!!!!!!!!! Must be millions upon millions in damages. Swansea would be in trouble as well. Town under water all the pound shops gone and the pink armys favourite Matalan store gone forever. Bucket collection for half hour could meet the costs though. Good signing potentially in Leroy Lita. Building up a nice mid table Championship squad for when you come down. Just hope you can at least agree personal terms. Further bit of advice. Blindfold him when he reaches 5 miles outside Swansea and take him directly to say the Gower. Dont let him set sight on the rest of your town - hed never sign!!!!!
Hilts: "Good signing potentially in Leroy Lita. Building up a nice mid table Championship squad for when you come down." Good effort Hilts...that's the spirit!
Ok facts - Cardiff - bigger club and always will be. Cardiff in Championship lets compare crowds at the kick off. Lets face it Cardiffs a division lower will be higher. Probably by about 5000. Average crowds last season - Cardiffs around 10 thousand more. Cardiff in debt. Im in debt ive a mortgage. Unemployed bloke I know no debt rented accomodation. Cardiff home owners , Swansea tenants. Cardiffs ground 27000 , Swansea City Councils 20,000. Blackpool had a better side than us for a season. History now.
In all seriousness Nottage isnt Huw going to even attempt to have a real go at staying in the PL. . Its wise to spend wisely but Leoy Lita!!!!!!??????????? I wouldnt want him at Cardiff.
Even QPR with their self imposed transfer embargo will have a stronger side than you. It could be argued that after losing Borini, Pratley and your keeper and considering who you have replaced them with you will go into next season with a weaker team than last year.
To be honest , I would prefer Emnes (remember him , I seem to remember him scoring a cracking goal for us, the opposing team name eludes me at present!) to Lita , but I trust Brendans judgement. Regarding Prately going: he was just a benchwarmer for us towards the end , but will thank him for his contributions the previous seasons. He does not leave a gap in our squad at all. Devries: good with his feet and blended well into our way of playing from the back , but absolutley hopeless at set pieces and high crosses / corners. Won't be difficult to replace. Borini would have been nice to keep , but Graham will fill the gap nicely in my opinion, as you must concede the main attacking creativity from last season were Dyer , Sinclair and Dobbie. So no , I disagree that our squad is weaker than last year. I feel it is definately equal if not stronger . And it WILL be good enough to keep us up. Let's hope for a return to the local derbies , but in the premiership and not the Championship. I can't see it happening though , as I feel our chances of staying up are better than yours for promotion.
"end of"... well we will see come end of the season . 10th in championship for Cardiff I'm afraid...."end of"
To be honest , as long as 1)we don't do a derby ,and 2)we don't spend silly money on gambling to stay up 3)manage wages carefully with relegation clauses I'm not that bothered. Quite happy then to be a yo-yo side
" Get ready for a season of defeats " .... Cardiff fans recycling statements from last season I see !

Not only did we finish above them, but we then gave them a second chance during the playoff's - and what happened - yes you're right they bottled it again!!!!
You should also get ready for a season of defeats with your tinpot team that costs nothing, after your first two games you'll be bottom
Got nothing to do with me , I'm not a Cardiff fan telling Swansea fans to get ready for " A season of defeats " again or " Swansea has no ambition " again " . If ambition is spending money you don't have & getting nowhere , fill your boots but we'll pass on " Cardiff Style Ambition " . Chances are we will suffer many defeats but as long as we don't sell the farm , no prob if we stay up or drop .
