As it was on a Leeds United message board and the question was asked of the 'Grayson out brigade', I assumed you were talking about Leeds United.

    Silly me.

I agree with Leeds-18, making profits on signings doesnt make a good manager, especially if the money doesnt go back into the team anyway. Wenger isn't a good manager because of that, its more the way he treats the youngsters and blends them into his side almost perfectly (Barring the last few seasons i suppose though) with his current squad and also his tactical genius.

I would probably say Moyes is one of the better ones at it seeings everton dont get any money but you also have to remember the players that grayson signs, he doesnt go and personally scout them himself. Thats not the way football works and especially in the new age of football.

Anyway, thats not the reason why i would be considering giving grayson an ultimatum. And i have always been positive about grayson as well

Managers such as Dave Jones and Billy Davies have shown the ability to get a team together, who then push forward. Admittedly they both failed to get their respective clubs to the EPL, but for the years they were managers they had consistant teams who played decent football.
I stand by my own opinion that we should break the bank and get Neil Warnock in from QPR. He is a tough manager who has an excellent man management style. Warnock would come to Leeds, even under Bates and I reckon when it comes to the fight, Warnock would beat Bates.
Sadly it won't happen, we will get Di-Matteo (should Grayson be removed) and the same old Leeds will continue.
