Just home, and Mr Postman has left me a wee pressie! Been looking forward to this release, first listen not quite hitting the heights of their first album but think it'll be a grower...

Had first listen Steels and agree it’s not quite BGF but a few tracks in the middle are really good.

Had another couple of listens today, with BGF listen in between, and it definitely grows. Feel it misses the influence of the horns from BGF, they’re there but not as prominent and that’s a shame - they make a real impact on the first album. Enjoying the experimental electronics continuing. Have to say it does grow though :emoticon-0100-smile . Favorites remain in the middle still though with Siphon Song (that Bowie Five Years drum intro :emoticon-0148-yes:), Undergrowth and The Blades strong tracks; Bulls Swimming is good too.
Getting better with every play :emoticon-0100-smile

I've had it on repeat since Monday...really enjoying it now but agree about the horns. Hard to see how some of these will translate to the live stage, they're quite intricate....will find out later in the year

Quite like this one, got a Black Midi feel
