I saw him for the first time on Johnathan Ross
First bit I thought he was awful but by the time the song was finished I was a fan
I think I just loved the way he put so much into the performance

Not that I have anything by him

We've seen him a few times, but it's been at least ten years since the last time. He's from Paisley, about 20 minutes down the road from me and we used to take my son to his parents sit-down fish'n'chip shop for food....all his gold discs were up on the wall behind the counter.

He's just been announced as headline act at a festival I've got tickets for next year too - ya dancer!!

Would love to see Paulo live - but would prefer to see him in his own show rather than a shorter-set festival. But would take that as an option.
Enjoy Steels!

Absolute belter - two and a half hour set full of great tunes...one of the best this year (and there's been some good ones).

Roll on Friday for my last gig of the year - the mighty Mogwai in the Barrowlands....gonna be deaf as **** for Christmas <laugh>

Couple of interesting bits of trivia popped up in our conversations prior to the gig last night - we've got a contact at the Hydro so had access to a private bar, perfect for catching up. Apparently the Hydro is the second busiest arena in the world, behind Madison Square Garden, over a million visitors a year. And Glasgow is second behind Nashville for the amount of music venues in a city - impressive! Which is why I manage to get to so many gigs!!

And RIP Duffy...

Lost count of the times I've see Primal Scream - on the 20th anniversary tour of Screamadelica we saw them 5 times!

Screamadelica was an album that changed my whole outlook music, and life in general at that time - thanks for the vibes Duffy.

Same happened to my mate Ricky at school…..I got him to sing it at full belt in the classroom one day and the teacher sent him to the headmaster for punishment…while I laughed :emoticon-0140-rofl:
