Just found out that The League are playing Southampton Common in July as part of an 80s festival...there's a lot of ****e on the bill but I'd go to see them and Belinda Carlisle, who I had a massive crush on when she was in the Go-Gos..Dare is still a mighty fine album and this song in particular gets me..

I saw Belinda a couple of years ago at an 80s festival....Rewind at the racecourse in Perth....not really my scene (I was more of a C86 indie child in the 80s), everyone dressed in day-glo and leotards (although it was good on the eye!) or big hair and shoulder pads, but a few beers down it was a good laugh - Belinda was very good, but Kim Wilde.....she was HOT ggrrrrrr!!! :emoticon-0152-heart:emoticon-0152-heart

Not seen this lot kiwi, but have caught Australian Pink Floyd a couple of times, and the light show and music is astounding. They are so good, that Dave Gilmour hired them to play for him at a party!

Also, the V&A have just opened a huge Pink Floyd exhibition at the museum, with over 350 items of memorabilia, videos, lyrics, and a fully immersive recreation of the band re-union at Live8 - something worth catching for the boys down in London....

This is for Greg as I know that he is a big fan

36 years ago today, Robert Nesta Marley lost his long battle against cancer. He is one of the biggest influences on black rights along with Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, Stevie Wonder and Muhammed Ali. He is a great influence on Reggae and Ska music bringing it to Europe and the US also.
