This should be an exhibition worth seeing...

Those of us lucky enough to have been around in that era will be looking forward to seeing just what made them the most innovative band of that great era. One of my best memories of them was at Earl's Court in 1973 when they introduced quadraphonic surround-sound to their gigs, that also featured the plane-on-a-wire that exploded behind the stage, pretty spectacular stuff for those days.

For me though, this was always the high-point of their early concerts, the darkly brooding 'Careful with that Axe Eugene'...

Nice one Sooper - I'm down to see The Cure at Wembley in December, any idea if it will still be on (didn't see any specific dates in the article). Never did get to see Pink Floyd - had tickets for gigs back in 94 I think, but couldn't make it due to work commitments, so have had to make do with watching Australian Pink Floyd a couple of times (who are excellent) and, on a much smaller and intimate scale, MacFloyd, who are also brilliant and play the local arts centre every year!

An early favourite of mine.....

Interestingly 'Astronomy Domine' and 'Careful with that Axe' live made up Side 'A' of the 'Ummagumma' album in 1969...
