    He has officially left the band after being warned by specialists he would go completely deaf if he continued. He's one of the nicest guys in rock, I had the pleasure of meeting him at the Half Moon in Putney about eight years ago. He chatted away happily to all and sundry and, amazingly, someone fired a shot through one of the pub windows towards the end of the evening, my first experience of a real shooting, quite hair-raising (if I still had some :grin:)...

    This is a taste of what to expect...
