And this is from Mogwai's new album, soundtrack for BBC4 documentary Atomic: Living in Dread and Promise
Remember that too UTRs - I really wanted the Mr Mister album when it came out, but was a bit skint, having spent all my paper - round money on other albums, so I managed to convince my parents that my sister really liked them, and they should buy her the LP for her birthday......didn't take long til it was sat in my record collection!!!
Nice one. I can't think of any others by them but sure I must know one or two. This threads handy as I'm not good at remembering song names and often who did them!
This is the Roxy Music song that I reckon gave Vic Reevs the idea for singing in a club style... I do actually like Roxy music but see where I'm coming from...
Heard this today for the first time in ages, and forgot how brilliant it was - people in car next to me must have thought I was nuts, singing at the top of my voice! Very reminscent of Primal Screams "Higher than the sun"......
A wee challenge for all you music posters - I'm off on my hols on Saturday, and am looking for some good new music to get into - anything goes, I'll give it a listen, but preferably someone new......over to you guys!
I will have to revisit TMV. At The Drive In's In/Casino/Out and Relationship of Command albums are personal faves of mine and often get a dusting down. When they split and Cedric with Omar started The volta I bought the album and saw them live and just didn't really feel it so kind of lost interest. The one you just posted I do like very much. I do and always will have huge respect for them whatever they do
Try the albums Octahedron and The Bedlem in Goliath - the first is truly great, I saw them play it live and was very impressed......
