New New Order track, I was unaware they were still going, all I do know is former and founding member Peter Hook is currently suing the remaining band members over royalties...
Still going pal - Hooky is touring solo stuff, while New Order are also touring - had a ticket to go last month, but had to sell it as it was same night as jnrs first gig Here's another of his own originals from that night....
Nice one Steelmonkey! How you doing bud, what's your next live gig mate, you mentioned that your going to quite a few this next week or two?
So me and my boy had the Blur/Oasis debate today.... Devastated he chose Oasis I was definately in the Blur camp......and having seen both bands live a couple of times, Blur are streets ahead (although Noels solo stuff is also quite good live!)
Noel and Damon are both very talented Hard but for me Damon slightly edges it but again both got huge talent!
Gutted pal, had to head down to Cumbria to help out down there and missed Alt J on Monday night with support from The Horrors and Ghost Poet - been told it was excellent, which only makes it worse! Saw Shed Seven, Inspiral Carpets and The Proclaimers last week - think thats it til New Year, unless something last minute comes up. Time to get my teeth into some new stuff ready for January! Few lined up for next year - biggie is Muse, but going to Foals, Everything Everything and Hurts too. You got much planned?
Nothing in the pipeline for me, I will make more of an effort to get out and see some Live music next year. Just need to get Christmas out the way and January is tight for everyone, still paying for Christmas
Just seen the midget faux Scotchman Rod Stewart (70) croak his way through his dirge 'Sailing' when I switched channels a minute too early to catch the news. He was dressed like an OAP gigolo without a mirror in the house, or anyone to offer him advice. Nowt like aging with dignity eh Rodney?
He's doing two gigs up here next summer - one at Kilmarnocks ground and one at Inverness Caley Thistles - and both are priced at £100.......ridiculous. Personally don't like his stuff, or his fake "Scottishness" but if you're willing to fork out that sort of cash, to see an OAP belt out a few old hits then you've obviously got more spare cash than brain-cells!!
Rods just released his 1st album of original material in something like 15 years. Not heard any of it yet but loved his The Faces stuff
