Yeah I don't mind a few Ramones tunes, more of a Zep man myself but each to their own:emoticon-0148-yes:

Please don't take that the wrong way Luke my friend, I love lots of different music from different eras, I know you do also but most your posts on hear seem to be Ramons or Screeching Weasel and the Queers.

I'm not slagging your music tastes, all I ask is mix it up a bit more. Cheers dude<cheers>

Sorry again Luke, please don't take my last post the wrong way. I'm not a music expert, I'm a music enthusiast. One of my fave styles of music is drum and bass. If I was self indulgent and kept posting drum and bass tracks on this thread I started It would have died ages back.

Keep posting mate but just mix it up a bit more:emoticon-0148-yes:

OK, point taken. Wanted to introduce some to music they may not of heard - and some have liked.

    Sticking with the '70s then

One year later, September 1973. But have to post it as it doesn't get much better than this.

Mate I feel really bad now. Please keep posting your fave bands my friend, just mix it up a bit that's all I ask.

Trust me mate I like some stuff that would make you think WTF? I sneak the odd one in now and again, if I only posted the tracks I really love this thread would not have had 7500+ post's and 67k views in the year since I started it.

Have a good weekend mate and all the best against Leicester:emoticon-0148-yes:

EDIT: I do post the tracks I love but from many different eras and styles!

    Don't feel bad <ok>

I like a lot of different music too, although remember the Beach Boys, Beatles and Stones were Chuck Berry copyists, the Ramones are the Beach Boys plus fast guitars and the bands I post all want to be the Ramones. There is a golden thread.

I personally don't go in for all that sh!t. It's all just a matter or opinion if you ask me. If you love the Ramones then they are the greatest. If you love ZZ top then they are the greatest etc.

The spirit of this thread is it's not sh!t just because you or I do not like it. Music is a wonderful magical thing. If it makes you happy or sad, brings back a memory, reminds you of a loved one etc then that's where the magic is whatever music does this for you.

Different strokes for different folks. I used to be stuck up about certain music styles or bands but as I'm getting older have started to like quite a fewI could not stand before.

What makes the would a beautiful place is we are all different. It would be crap and really dull if all music sounded the same and we all loved the same thing!

I would argue they were influenced by more than copyists tbh!

99.9% of all music and bands/ artist will have been influenced by older music or bands, it's a natural progression and thank f*ck for that also<cheers>

Here's what I was listening to in 1976 (thanks to my older brother) A great year for both of our clubs...

I'm sure that Stan got the reception that he so richly deseves, along with Alan Hudson, one of my favourite non Saints players....<cheers>

I've just remembered that QPR were Saints opponents for Mick Channon's testimonial, 2 days after the cup final...there were crazy scenes that night with well over 30,000 packed into the tiny Dell.....
