Do you ever get a song stuck in your head all day at work? Well I do. I'm one of those annoying people you often get in the workplace that can't sing but does anyway. My work buddies were getting real peed off with me today as I kept bursting out the chorus of this old one from Ultravox It kept me amused anyway...
Great documentary on Beeb at mo about Ginger Baker - what a character!! **** knows how he's still alive
Yes, I watched that and I was chuffed when they mentioned that Ginger was a huge fan of my all time fave drummer Buddy Miles. Regular posters and visitors to this fine thread of ours would probably have noticed I often post a few selections from the Band of Gypsys live at the fillmore east album which is probably one of my fave all time albums. And a song written by Miles for the said album "Live at the Flllmore East"... For me this was Hendrix at his best. Three Brothers jamming together with Billy Cox's RnB bass playing, my fave drummer smashing the sh!t out of his kit and the man himself Hendrix, what more can I say... Anyway, lol, sorry about that, back on topic to Ginger, a complete nutter but one of the best... And Cream, again, wow what a band, sadly they don't make many groups like that anymore. If they do then due to the commercialisation of the music industry they just don't get signed anymore which is sad, really sad!
Is this what you've been reduced to, watching music documentaries on BBC as your laptop has died!Never a good time to for stuff to break, but just after you move is a real pisser - you coping ok? Here's a song for you!
Very good, I like that a lot The thing is, like lots of us I spend a lot of time listening to different musical styles depending on what mood I'm in or the sort of day I'v had. Sharing music posts with all you sound as fook fellow music enthusiasts is something I really enjoy and for me is the best way to unwind. This forum has changed my music habits, before this music thread I would have my headphones on for at least an hour every evening. Now I can post a few, also enjoy and discover a fine and diverse selection of top music posts. I'm really chuffed this music thread has lasted this long and shows no sign of dying just yet. Most of all I'm so chuffed that the thread has lasted a year in the spirit I intended, nobody has complained about any of mine or other members music selections. As you know it's all just a matter of opinion. Also a special shout to you Steelmonkey, I have discovered and now enjoying lots of music that you have taken time out to share Thanks also to everyone else, I can't write a list of names as it would take me too long to mention everyone!
Oh and thanks for asking, yes I love my new pad. I'm very lucky to have such peaceful and good natured neighbours!
Funny you should mention that, my boss recently saw them and they opened the gig with the Chain. Top stuff, I would like to be there myself also so I feel your pain!
Sorry I would like to add that a QPR win is also one of the best way to unwind. Lets hope we have some more of that next season and with the music then happy days!
OK, so Fleetwood Mac have been around for a while and have had quite a few lineup changes over the decades, this may not be one for the Mac purists but I like it...
