Transvision Vamp Touring New Zealand in February 2026

Chris Cudby / Wednesday 6th August, 2025 8:34AM

UK pop rock icon Wendy James' world conquering Transvision Vamp are returning to Aotearoa New Zealand for the first time in nearly three decades this summer, to the delight of fans in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. Achieving a phenomenal run of chart-smashing hits in the late '80s / early '90s, including 'Baby I Don’t Care', 'Revolution Baby', 'I Want Your Love', 'The Only One' and 'If Looks Could Kill' (all of which charted in NZ), the group's newly reactivated lineup includes founding bassist Dave Parsons, with top notch recruits Alex Ward (The Thurston Moore Group) and James Sclavunos (Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds). Look forward to rowdy hits and fan favourites galore from the London rock rebels in February 2026 — here are the details...

"I am so very excited to be coming back to New Zealand to play the songs which started my whole musical journey! I remember vividly so many incredible moments gigging in New Zealand, moments of enormous success, enormous love and enormous fun. I’m bringing with me a set full of music that will thrill and musicians who will amaze!"
