It's our first gigs of the year, and a busy week coming up for me and Mrs SM... Tomorrow she's off to see Cloudbusting, a Kate Bush tribute Sunday we're off to see my boys band support Bilk Tuesday, a bit of Heartworms for me Wednesday we're off to see The Bug Club Friday she's off to see Snow Patrol with her pals Sunday we're heading over to Edinburgh to see Mogwai Exhausting week, but it'll be worth it, not been to a gig since end of November, having withdrawal symptoms!
Off out to see Jnr tonight, playing in Stereo in Glasgow, a venue he last played eight years ago when he was just 14! New line up for The Skins tonight, they sacked their guitarist as he kept missing rehearsals and turning up late for gigs, so the bass player has moved on to lead and they've recruited the bass player from jnrs first band, who is really good. Promises me that the sound is very different, so fingers crossed. Supporting Bilk tonight, who they supported a couple of years ago and played them off the stage...they're very chavvy, from Essex, Chelmsford I think, lots of songs about drugs, partying and being "lads". Wouldn't mind, but they sound like Busted or McFly
heard a session on radio 6 yesterday, i liked this and the young woman came across very likable, enjoy the evening
Heard that too. What a great show that was - she has a fantastic voice and really good stage presence...would highly recommend catching her if she's local to you mate
I looked it up after hearing them on the radio, played 13th February, already missed them but I’ll watch out for later dates
Bit of a curveball, but just bought tickets to see Gipsy Kings next year. Mrs SM has always wanted to see them....six of us going, on a Saturday night....could get messy
Off to Oran Mor in Glasgow tonight ro see The Bug Club. Venue is a converted church...upstairs is all posh and full of cocktail drinkers.. .downstairs in the dark old crypt is where the music junkies hang out
