Mogwai new album arriving today, a day before release....raging, I'm working away so won't get to hear it til tomorrow!!

 

Made it home through the storm...bit wild in places, but now I have this for the evening...

I'm two songs in on my first listen....this is already a belter

 

Although there's rarely any vocals on any Mogwai tracks, there's two on this album...Stuarts voice has a haunting quality, reminiscent of Ride I think...proper shoegaze stuff when they want it to be instead of blasting your face off rock!

 

Just bought the latest David gray album for Mrs kiwi
$85 dollars
She had better like it

Got ourselves some tickets to see PSB at Kelvingrove Bandstand in the summer...as long as the weather holds, this will be an excellent gig. Great venue, holds about 3000 all seated in an amphitheatre setting...will be perfect for the video-show that goes along with their music.

 

We saw King Creosote a couple of years ago there play the score for the movie From Scotland With Love - well worth checking out, some great old footage and brilliant soundtrack
