Festival update! Latest line-up released, Orbital and 808 State added!! There's some other top names on the list, and a few smaller bands that I'm excited to see....and Yard Act added, two days after I bought tickets for the in Glasgow
Cant remember if you said but I assume you’ve seen Orbital live ? The visuals in their shows are amazing….when they played Satan the place erupted….
Ive seen them half a dozen times and every time they have been great. I just remember that amazing feeling when they mix in Belinda Carlisle and Bon Jovi in Halcyon and on…..such a good tune
I like a lot of those bands. I thought Camera Obscura had packed up, nothing released for years since their keyboardist died. Might make my way up there in the summer.
I could sit and watch their set in a dark room and still space out without the biscuits…. The Chemical Brother set in Mount Fuji ? is the same….amazing visuals
Dunno if you’ve seen this beauty but if not, put it in a wide screen tv, in a darkened room, have a couple of biscuits and ENJOY
Mrs loves Camera Obscura - she's seen them a couple of times. Some really good bands on the line-up this year. If you do fancy it, it's a great festival - this will be my tenth or eleventh year I think (Covid cancellations have me confused). It only holds a few thousand, and is very family friendly, but also caters well to the adults. Live music til 3am as it's so remote from anywhere, but only an hour from home for me. And it's very reasonably priced too - and I'll shout you a beer at the bar if you do come!
It’s funny how certain tunes remind you of certain events in your live vividly. For me I remember going out to Malta to see England play with a mate who wasn’t into football but who is half Maltese. His parents live out there and his brother knows the local expat scene out there. I also was meeting a load of girls from Air Malta for the first time as I’d got to know them through work. So a load of us decided to go clubbing in the bars of Paceville and took the girls along to show them how we roll, as I think their idea of clubbing was different to ours. Got into a club where it was a proper rave scene, dark, dingy, low ceilings and proper E’d up ravers. Me and my mate were just getting on a mission when “Hey boy, Hey Girl” got put on and BOOM the place just erupted with people bouncing about and throwing shapes….. The look on the Maltese girls were classic and they looked a bit scared to honest, they didn’t last long after that and quickly made their excuses and left….except for one ****in’ amazing night never to be forgotten
Unlike you, I've seen Chemical Brothers a few times! they are superb. Did you ever get round to seeing Beats?
