Somehow I missed the fact that Sparks and Franz Ferdinand made an album together a while back under the name FFS. How did this elude me? Anyhow, some cracking tunes on this album!
Was watching the highlights from Glastonbury 98 last night (the really muddy one) where I first saw Chemical Brothers - seen them a few times since too, always something special. Tut tut, not paying attention in class (or to this thread, anyway). I posted this stuff when it came out, so your punishment is to read through the last thousand pages of this thread til you find it When does the Sparks documentary come out?
jeez that would take some time wouldn't it?! I have to admit that although I try to keep track of this thread as often as possible I'm sure that there have been numerous songs posted that I have missed and would like. Looking after Noah 15 hours a day curtails my music time rather more than I appreciate! The Sparks Brothers is released on July 30th Steels. Not sure if it's available to download anywhere before then.
Talk of discovering new Radiohead stuff, was listening to Amy Lame on 6Music this afternoon, and heard a track which I thought was them, but hadn't heard before. Wouldn't come up on Shazaam, but after a bit of digging it turns out that Thom and Jonny have done a special set for Glasto this year, under the name of The Smile....can't find the tracks on YouTube (yet) but found this on a Facebook page from Mexico! I don't do Facebook, so hope this works!
