One of my favourite films....Edward Woodward and Christopher Lee are truly at their best. The final scene haunted me for years.
I must admit I only heard Idles yesterday as they had a couple of songs at the end of Peaky Blinders.....the song ‘I’m Scum’ sounded very much like New Model Army.....are they very similar in sound ? Might give them a listen.

Mate, you'd love them. Lots of songs with a political twist, anti-racist, anti-homophobe, anti-Tory, very pro NHS (his wife is a nurse) although they are also anti-Brexit (but don't let that put you off ) Down to earth working class guys who have taken about ten years to finally make it.....watch their set at Glastonbury..... Saw them last year, one of the best gigs I've ever been to....very physical mosh pit, but no violence just an air of pure joy, everyone seemed so happy to just be there. Both their albums are brilliant, 1000 mile an hour, would really urge you to give them a go, best band of the last couple of years (in my opinion!)
Great recommendation......will definitely give them a listen and already spoke to my mate who is a massive NMA fan to try them out as well ‘cos I think they’ll really be his thing. Always liked a bit of politics in my musical content.....from my earlier, shall I say ‘misguided’ days....through to bands like Angelic Upstarts and Blaggers ITA (a band who’s gig I once opposed and tried to disrupt)......it’s a strange old time I’ve had when I look back at it .
This is about his pal, Danny Nedelko (who is lead singer of Heavy Lungs) and is a Ukranian immigrant....
