Tonight, I won't be the only Hoops fan in the room.... Imagine it will be a bit mellower than the last gig attended!
Been a couple of stressful nights on the truck with a cardiac arrest (we got him back), challenging MH jobs and yet another stabbing......I listened to this on the way home and cried........felt good to get it out.
Music always manages to find a way to get you through. My missus used to come home from shifts having dealt with pretty much the same **** you have to deal with, stabbings, assaults, drunken head injuries, ODs (a lot of them, we have a big junkie population here) plus they had a Urology ward attached to the surgical so had to deal with all the cancer patients too - music was her release.... She did it for 18 years, now nurses in a prison and says it's far less stressful!
I totally get it mate and have so much respect for your Mrs.....I’ve learnt it ain’t weak to cry like I did this morning ‘cos it releases the pressure before it explodes like a boiling kettle full of steam...music really does help. Great thread this
Something for all us old-skool ravers.... Trainspotting for the rave generation, this film already has cult status up here, and it's not even been released yet!! Out next week
