As Sooper posted on the "On This Day" thread, Dark Side of the Moon was released 45 years ago today. An absolute all time classic album.... I was going to post a live version, but no-one seems to come close to Clare Torrys' singing in the album version
Something new from techno wizards Underworld - although this sounds more like something Brian Wilson would've tried on Pet Sounds!
Something a bit different.....new music from Black Keys member Patrick Carney with John Petkovic from Guided by Voices....
Came across this today, never heard of them before but they've got a large back catalogue on YouTube....post-punk /indie with a touch of Smashing Pumpkins, brilliant.....
Bought that the week it was released, as you say the vocals she produced on that album really make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. Also love the sax on 'Us and Them'...
This is an interesting list, I had quite a few of these vinyls, sadly none of such value although I can't be sure whether the lettering on my Led Zep album was blue or not I had a mate who was a sub-editor on Sounds magazine in the early 70s and he used to get loads of albums and often let me have copies which were all marked 'Promotional Copy - Not For Resale'. I probably had about 25-30 of these over 1973-74 but sadly all have gone replaced with soulless CDs...
Bloody hell sooper, if you still have a few Promotional Copy's in your collection then that's your pension sorted if needed please log in to view this image please log in to view this image Very rare for loaded$£ collectors I would assume
