Last year I went to see Ben Ottewell perform some of his solo stuff and had a chat with him after, that man has one of the best voices ever, and I really don't think I'm over playing it, so powerful. Last night was pretty amazing, played the entire first album and was as good as ever, my only moan would be the second album is nowhere near the same and for me it tailed off towards the end when they started playing that, including the encore... however an amazing night and well worth the 100+ mile round trip up to Nottingham to go and see them
If I ever feel like running off to join a cult this is where I'll be headed....not really a probability, but one can dream

Not bad pal - been a bit quiet work-wise lately, more time to listen to music during the day though, so not all bad! Love this thread, lots of stuff that I've either never heard, forgotten, or am revisiting. Also inspires me to listen to new stuff, hearing lots of great new artists - there's just so much music available nowadays through so many different mediums, although you can't beat a live show in my opinion. Keep the tunes coming gents.....
