I do apologise most sincerely that I have given you a crumb of hope of winning this competition given the despair you will feel when normal service is once more resumed and you flounder in my wake as I crush your puny and pathetic hopes as the competition progresses. Jak, do you think the apology sounds sincere enough? I did use the word "sincere" just in case that sounded better.
It would do for me. I have never seen you apologise before so I don’t, really have anything to judge it against.

Slow night but @Albert's Chip Shop sneaks out from under his mentor's shoulder and takes a 4pt lead courtesy of a correct score for the Croatia-Czech Republic game. Boxheed's rethink actually cost him a point on the night.
You can wait until the end of the group games if you like. You had a choice of predicting before the start for 40pts or adter the group games for 20pts or like @Joelinton's Right Foot, after the competition for 0pts
If it wasn't for @Roy Munson 's 1-1 standing order evrybody would have had zero points from last night. Munson's 10pts finally move him up the table to 9th place. everything else stays the same:
I see it as performing a necessary service for would-be gamblers. Sort of like Gamblers Anonymous but with sarcasm and insults.
Mostly 1's and 2's last night but @Darren Peacock's Ponytail and @Sammy's Silky Skills pick up 5's from the Wales-Italy game to move into 3rd and remain in last place respectively. @Albert's Chip Shop remains in 1st place followed by @Maximin Effort.
@Ben 10 the big winner last night with two correct scores and 10pts moving him up to equal 3rd place. @Albert's Chip Shop stretches his lead by 1pt.
Predictions almost as boring as the football last night with 1's and 2's but no correct scores. @Darren Peacock's Ponytail makes up a bit of ground on the leaders with 4pts last night to move up to 3rd on his own.
