Stick has gone his abacus and homing pigeon ready too. Rainer has got his telegraph operator ready. Imagine the damage that pair would do with tablets and smart phones!!

Hopefully none of these blight your picks Nass.

    Gracie's Girl 10/1 - 4.25
    Gulliver 9/2 - 5.55

Joseph O'Brien has a runner there also at very prohibitive odds. Is this a first runner on the course from him?

In the 5:25 I'd give Aquarius an ew chance. Last run wasn't too bad. Yard in OK form and 16/1 looks a decent price. I'd be wanting the field to stay 8 runners or more for the 3 places but it's definitely got a chance

    6:25 Bonds Angel 15/8

this race is all about Ballard Down who is by Canford Cliffs and goes to the sand for the first time. CC isn’t a notable sire for the surface (11%) and he has previous on starting slowly and being reluctant to race.

Bonds Angel has plenty to find on handicap marks but loves it here, is in form and should get the race run to suit. They should get to the front and dictate the pace, and my only concern is that if they don’t go fast enough then Bedtime Bella would come into this with her 6 furlong form.

Clifford Lee should get an easy time on Bonds Angel though and that may well prove decisive

    5:55 Zylan

this one has the great course form and her run last time over five was very good. Today’s race is really interesting as unusually for the surface we don’t have many front runners. As such I want to be with something that is up with the pace which leaves me with Zylan and katheefa and it’s the former who gets the nod to reverse form from earlier in the winter.

yep first runner at the course for him and the sire win percentage is very healthy for his runner too. Richard Hughes (24% strike rate)is very interesting at Southwell and his catches the eye to follow it home

haha, I had you down for three selections. The two you have gone for plus Sylviacliffs!

BONDS ANGEL is about as good a 15/8 shot as I have seen in some time!

And it’s four races today, so you need to work out the other one too.

The obvious one in the last for you would be Red Stripes but I reckon you might go left field with Warriors Valley in first time blinkers!

Well, length does matter, as Ann Widdecombe explained to me after a Young Conservative dance in the 1960s. And the reason I hadn't pontificated about the last at the Venue Of Legends was that I assumed the result was self-evident. Tathmeen will win it in a common canter.
